Join us for a series of base ball games played by the Essex Base Ball Club of Massachusetts versus the Dirigo Base Ball club of Augusta. The Essex Base Ball Organization runs a thriving league, based in MA, that plays vintage base ball–baseball according to the rules and customs of 1861, also known as town ball. The Essex Base Ball Organization was founded by people who love to play the vintage game, and who have a passion for history. Their goal is to educate people on the history of the game, and to expose more people to the unique style of play in the 19th century.
