Tudor Place Historic House and Garden, a historic house museum in Georgetown, is seeking an intern to assist with its inventory of collections. This project will focus on the architectural collection. Photography, rehousing and data entry in Excel will be undertaken as necessary. This internship opportunity would be ideal for anyone interested in historic house management as well as developing experience in object handling, cataloging and collection management skills.
Job Responsibilities
Tasks:
- Photograph and catalog objects into excel
- Re-house objects when necessary
- Update paper records
- Undertake basic research
Qualifications
Applicants must currently be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Museum Studies program or related college level program.
Experience with museum databases, object handling and collections management procedure is desirable.
