Development Assistant supports the fundraising efforts of the Hayward Area Historical Society in the areas of grant writing, membership, special events as well as other projects as needed. Reports to the Development Director.
Qualifications
Skills preferred: Must have a positive attitude, be detail oriented and dependable; ability to be flexible and work on a variety of projects; excellent writing skills are essential as is mastery of MS Office software; knowledge of Past Perfect software helpful. Interest in museums, community, fundraising and philanthropy.

Located in downtown Hayward, The Hayward Area Historical Society joins people of all ages in the preservation, study and interpretation of the diverse heritage of our community. Through education programs, interpretive exhibitions and the preservation of historic sites and artifacts, the Historical Society promotes an understanding about our shared history as we face issues that will shape our future.

Additional Information
Commitment: Part time position, 2 days a week (16 hours per week).
Museum is accessible by Hayward BART station and if driving, by the 880 and 580 freeways.
