The new HISTPRES is the online community of young and emerging preservation professionals. We have updated the website to clearly illustrate the newest jobs + internships, blog posts, and the most common requested type of jobs! The blog is the place to share your preservation projects and comment on preservation initiatives that are important to you. Submit your research, opinions, photography + more here.
Submissions should be 250-750 words and include relevant links and images with captions and credits.
We have specific interests in posting your narratives about:
- Preservation professional qualifications
- Building material reuse
- Public archaeology
- Projects incorporating both archaeology and historic building preservation
- Community outreach + grassroots advocacy initiatives
- K-12 preservation education
- Interesting intersections of preservation with other fields
- LGBTQ history research and site preservation
- International preservation perspectives
- Public + media art preservation
